Growing up in Northern Virginia, I was always drawn to photography. What started out as a fun, side hustle and passion of mine, suddenly became my biggest motivation to leave my corporate job as a government contractor in Washington, D.C. Sitting behind a desk, in a office, wasn’t my path and I knew I needed a big change. That change happened as soon as I met my then boyfriend, now husband, Scott, and I quickly moved down to Charlottesville, Virginia to close the gap on our long distance relationship. It was then that I decided to start over and finally pursue my love of photography.
Quickly after I began, I started booking weddings, vineyard shoots & many family portraits and I truly loved every person I was able to photograph…and I've stuck with it ever since. My clients gift me the ability to keep this passion alive and for that, I am forever grateful.
Thanks for coming along on the ride!
"Kate truly made our wedding day so special. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable on a day where all eyes are on you. Kate even made my husband enjoy the portrait part of our day and he hates getting his photo taken! Very thankful for her!"
"Without a doubt, Kate was not just a vendor on our day, but felt more like family. She made sure all of my friends and family were taken care of and went out of her way to help in more ways than what a photographer should have to do. We loved having her by our side on our wedding day!"
"The way Kate captured specific moments of our day, made it known that she understood our family and friends dynamic and what meant the most to us. She took the time to make sure she knew everyones names and made sure everyone was taken care of. My husband and I are so grateful to have had her as not just a vendor, but a friend. Best decision we made!"
